For those of you who are unfamiliar his Hoonicorn Mustang, you should refer to the Gymkhana series. Untill you do though, we’ll remind you this is as far as the classic Mustang it’s impersonating as they get.
Sure, the Golden Era did see a four-wheel-drive Mustang being built in extremely limited numbers, but Block’s 850 hp, all-wheel-drive pony is something else.
As we said, Block is opening the way for the rest of the tire-smoking drama performers. But he’s not the only one in the spotlights. As you might recall, Goodwood asphalt was covered in rubber last year by Mad Mike Whiddett and his Mazda RX-7.
Mad Mike is back for 2015 and he’ll be joined in his 1.16-lie rotating hillclimb adventure by James Deane, last year’s EXTREME Drift Allstars European Champion, who brings his Falken Motorsports Nissan 200SX S14 to Goodwood’s 1.16-mile hillclimb.
And the list of tire executioners doesn’t end there. For instance, we’ll also enjoy some rubber slaughter coming from Norway’s top drifting man, Joachim Waargaard, in a BMW M4, as well as by an 1,000 HP Budmat R34 Skyline manhandled by Poland’s Piotr Wiecek.
UPDATE: Mad Mike Whiddett showed Ken Block how it's done in his RWD 750 HP Mazda RX-7.
