Kawasaki is back to the Suzuka 8 Hours racing, and the goal is no less than reaching the podium, and possibly taking a shot at the highest step. The manufacturer will throw a ZX-10R-based machine into the endurance fray, in the prestigious race which will take place in July 2014.
Trying to bring back Suzuka recognizance for the House of Akashi will be Japanese riders Kazuki Watanabe and Akira Yanagawa.

Both riders comes with extensive road racing expertise in the Japanese Superbike, Moto2 and WSBK. Participating in the Suzuka 8 Hours also celebrates 30 years of Team Green, the Kawasaki Racing Department.

Is this one of the signs that Akashi has even more ambitious plans of maybe returning to MotoGP, like Suzuki and more recently, Aprilia have?
