We knew there will be carbon fiber involved in the all-new Ninja H2 straight from the beginning, as the initial contre-jour photo revealed a detail which looked very much like CF. Today’s new Kawasaki teaser video confirms our supposition and brings even more details on the bike, if with minimalist, exceptionally unsatisfying scarcity.
The initial Kawasaki Ninja H2 photo showed an aerodynamic winglet or prong in the front section, and hinted us on the fact that this machine was aimed at changing the whole sport bike game. The latest H2 video not only shows that the bike’s bodywork may be entirely made from carbon fiber, but its design is inspired from the aerodynamic solutions F1 cars use, with all sorts of winglets and stabilizers.

While the position of the front “prong” was clear right from the beginning, the stabilizer in the photo after the jump is a rather mysterious piece of bodywork. Judging by the scarce detail the photo offers, this stabilizer is also located somewhere in the frontal area of the bike as well, on either side of the fairing. Still, the stabilizer solution is a really rare one in the street bike segment, and even MotoGP prototypes are not using it but very rarely. Ducati used a similar winglet, but it was aimed at helping extracting heat fron the engine.

Some say that this is a strong indication for the fact that Kawasaki’s new supercharged H2 bike will be capable of reaching very high speeds which require much more advanced aerodynamics than what the current bikes use. And thinking at the rumor which says that the track version of the H2 will have 300 hp only adds more anxiety to the wait until 30 October, when the bike will be unveiled.
