Joss JP1 Specs and Pricing Released

New supercar news is coming to us from Australia, as new specs for the upcoming Joss JP1 have been revealed by the vehicle's manufacturer.

Automotive enthusiasts from around the world will have an important reason to celebrate, as the production version of the Joss JP1 will be beefier and faster that the original data showed.

At the heart of the supercar, we find a V8 engine that uses an aluminum construction and develops in excess of 500 hp (this requires the engine to use 98 octane petrol). The engine uses a special exhaust system that has twin catalytic converters. The unit will is mated to a six speed transmission that sends the power to the rear wheels.

A serious stopping power is provided by the vehicle’s braking system, which uses six-piston calipers for the front axle and four-piston calipers for the rear one.

Joss engineers have worker hard to keep the vehicle’s weight down, using state of the art solutions to achieve this goal. The car uses a composite honeycomb sub-frame and a Kevlar-reinforced carbon fiber body, tipping the scales at 940 kg and measuring 4450 mm in length, 1860 mm in width and 1,100 mm in height.

But let’s see what all the aforementioned data actually means. The Joss JP1 covers the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in under 3 seconds and offers a top speed of 212 mph (340 km/h). The supercars needs less than 11 seconds for the quarter mile run and is also able to generate a lateral force of 1.2 G.

On its domestic market, the Joss JP will retails for AU$500,000 ($456,700 at the current exchange rate).
