It seems that Jeremy Clarkson is not just in trouble when it comes to his professional life - after the recent “N-word” racism accusations, it looks like Clarkson’s wife recently celebrated getting divorced.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, Frances Clarkson, 52, took a holiday in Majorca last month, where she and her best friend celebrated the end of her marriage, a 21-year long story.
The report claims a source close to Frances confirmed this. For those of you who have not been following the topic, the divorce story doesn’t come out of the blue - Clarkson has been engaged in various affairs over the years and various sources indicate they have been living separately for quite some time now.
Nonetheless, a second source, this time close to Jeremy, said the two are married for now. When asked if the Top Gear presented was “getting divorced”, the source explained “Getting [divorced] and divorced are different”.
Any such case would raise the obvious question - how will the millionaire’s fortune be affected. However, Clarkson’s example is a particular one, since his wife is also his manager, which means she has had a truly important role in his career.
Clarkson’s financial assets are unofficially placed at GBP30 million (EUR36.5 million or US$ 50.6 million), so we are looking at a rather interesting situation here.
