JEGS Extend Sprint Cup Deal, Moves to Nationwide

Parts supplier JEGS announced over the weekend it will enter the fourth year of collaboration with the Sprint Cup Series and in addition will add the 2010 Nationwide Series, for the first time, to its contingency program.

"Our company philosophy always has been to support the racers first,"John Coughlin, JEGS vice president said in a release. "By offering a contingency program to all the Sprint Cup and Nationwide drivers we can reach the most teams and be seen by more of our customers across the board than any individual sponsorship."

"My three brothers and I are drag racers but we're fans of all different kinds of motorsports and we love NASCAR racing as much as anyone. Our customers also are fans or in some cases are involved themselves in all the different levels of NASCAR racing so it was a natural move for us to get involved."

"We couldn't be happier with the response we've gotten from NASCAR nation. Like the NHRA, NASCAR has a very loyal following that supports the sponsors that support the sport."

The collaboration between JEGS and NASCAR began in 2007, when the first JEGS stickers started being featured on NASCAR machines.

"It's great to go to NASCAR Sprint Cup races and have the drivers, crewmen, and team owners come up and say 'thanks' for being a part of their sport," Coughlin said. "Now we can add in the Nationwide teams as well and that's exciting."
