The Jeep Willys isn’t exactly the first car that comes to mind when night falls and the guys head out to the boulevards for some street racing, but today we’re bringing you a video that shows the retro off-roader being used exactly for this purpose.
Of course, this is not a stock Willis, with the vehicle having been heavily modified. On top of the list of custom goodies sits a 4.8-liter LSX V8 engine. The Jeep Willis currently allows its driver to play with just over 300 hp at the wheels. but the future looks even brighter.
The owner plans to take the output past the 500 hp mark and, among the various tech upgrades he’ll make to achieve this purpose, we’ll find a Nitrous Express nitrous kit.
Nevertheless, until we get to the future, the driver must face the present: the Willis managed to smoke a Subaru WRX STI and a Pontiac GTO, but this hasn’t remained unnoticed to the police. You’ll see what we mean in the clip below.
