The Jeep was born to serve American soldiers sharing the burden of their M1 rifles, their grenade packs and their ration packs. The Chrysler sub-brand never forgot its roots and is dedicating a special edition to the men at arms.
The Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition was unveiled today, honoring 2012 Veterans Day with some custom touches. The compact crossover is offered in red, white or blue with bespoke features. The hood gets a huge army star like the World War II era Jeeps did.
The Freedom Edition also comes with 17-inch Mineral Gray painted wheels and the “Oscar Mike” badge on the lower front door. The seats are vinyl with Dark Gray “Cubic” cloth centers and feature the star logos in the front.
For a $22,440 including destination, it’s also quite well equipped, with sunroof, Security and Cargo Group and all-season floor mats.
