Top Gear’s hosts are hilarious and one of the reasons people have been constantly watching the show for years is the way they mock each other all the time. He might not have the same posterior as Kim Kardashian, but James May definitely broke the internet the other day when he called his fellow presenter Jeremy Clarkson a drunk.
All these TV celebrities have a way to help each other out when in need of some publicity, but the way Top Gear’s stars do it is just hilarious. Less than two weeks ago Sun Motors has started a small competition for their readers in which people could win one of 10 DVD copies of “Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip 2”, the latest video done by the team.

The DVD contains footage of Jeremy Clarkson as he and Top Gear co-star Richard Hammond tackle Italy. The exotic adventure has the two racing 500 miles from Venice to the isle of Capri via Bologna, Siena, Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano on the stunning Amalfi coast (We want that job!).

In order to tease their fans and make them join the competition, Sun Motors has released a short clip that has Clarkson summarizing the DVD in a couple of minutes, on November 12th. As the contest is reaching its last day, the newspaper has recalled their fans about it with a tweet they did yesterday.

Here is where James May comes in, who retweeted the newspaper’s announcement, only it was a bit more particular.

His message obviously stormed the front... of his page, as it was retweeted 1,000 times already.

Even though James May is not starring in Top Gear’s newest DVD and he could be angry on his fellow team members for that, we’re pretty sure it was just a small prank he pulled on his long-time colleague. Whatever the case, this is definitely how you want to advertise your buddy’s commercial...
