Jack Roush Cancels All 2010 Appearances

The plane crash in which racing tycoon Jack Roush was involved in the end of July keeps on affecting the 68-year old's schedule.

The unannounced appearance he made at the Michigan International Speedway two weeks ago might have very well been the last for this year, as the company he runs, Roush Performance, announced today the cancellation of all other appearances this year.

“To help reduce his travel schedule and aid his recovery, Jack Roush has requested that we cancel all his remaining 2010 dealer appearances. This includes the September 30 event at Long MacArthur Ford, and the October 28 signing at Town & Country Ford. No makeup dates will be scheduled,
" the statement reads.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding of his request. As soon as a 2011 schedule of his appearances is approved, those dates will be published.”

The company didn't make any comments on whether Roush's condition took a turn for the worse.

When the incident happened, Roush's jet was landing on the north-south runway of the Whitman Reginal Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, when it flew over the runway, came back down and skidded to a stop.

The plane broke in half when hitting the ground. Roush managed to walk out of the plane on his own two feet, but his injuries, most of them to the face, were more severe than initially believed.

According to the doctors, Roush suffered several injuries, including a ruptured left eyeball, broken jaw, damaged left cheekbone and a fracture in his back.
