While we have been taught that four-wheel drive is easily the safest way to transfer a car’s power to the road, as it gets evenly distributed among all four wheels, apparently, even that’s not enough to keep some drivers out of trouble.
Take this Russian driver who, for no apparent reason, suddenly veers violently to the left and plants his Infiniti FX luxury SUV right into a solid concrete bridge pier, hitting a car which was driving normally on the other side of the other side of the road. This was a rather bad crash, but apparently, everybody was OK here, as well.
We would hate to be involved in such a frightening accident with a large SUV, especially one you can’t even predict a few seconds in advance (as is most often the case). It will severely shock the driver and also cause serious damage to his or her car, as that FX is quite big and heavy.
