1 or 2 inches, that's what kept these two riders alive that day, and yes, the guy riding the green Kawa is an idiot. Luckily for him he's an idiot in one piece, and with no collateral victims.
We have watched this video countless times and still can't believe how close this one was. Likewise, we're probably missing the right gene for understanding his extremely stupid lane one riding... just under 160 mph (257 km/h).
It didn't even have to be another rider in front of him for tragedy to become real: some dirt, rubble and whatnot could have been more than enough for a fatal crash. And we've already seen quite a fair share of such crashes which seem to happen out of the blue, so it's really no use for some to try and come up with any sorts of excuses and explanations.
Both the Kawa idiot and the other guy in front of him are as lucky as it gets, and maybe they've both learned a lesson: the former - that this was a once in a lifetime, and the latter – to stay as far as possible from such morons.
