Combining aircraft with yachts into this innovative and luxurious way may seem a little bit far-fetched for most of us, but so looked autonomous cars some time ago, yet look at Google’s self-driving cars now. This concept was first unveiled in May, but its creator – Russian businessman Vasily Klyukin – has recently unveiled a video detailing the project.
The eccentric businessman envisioned the yacht of the future as a hybrid helicopter that can fly directly from the sea. It’s a concept that combines two means of transportation into this futuristic watercraft. Details are not entirely clear, but it would seem the designer has an exciting material and mechanical advancements in mind.

He named his creation Monaco 2050 – representing the place and the year when this contraption should sail for the first time. The watercraft comprises of an upper deck that is both part of the yacht and an independent aircraft. Screws embedded in the wings allow this autonomous unit to rise upwards, becoming a helicopter.

However, that is just one utility of the special creation. After it gains the proper altitude and speed, Klyukin imagines that its jet engines will allow the aircraft to fly extreme distances overseas. Sure, the idea of having an aircraft strapped to a luxury yacht is not new, which is probably why the Russian businessman trusts such crafts will be taken for granted. As a matter of fact, this particular concept is one of a series of designs that should make for the wealthy men’s water ride sometime in the future.

We have been writing about such things before. In fact, we wrote of a previous concept the Russian designer unveiled last year. If the flying yacht sounded like something out of this planet, the White Sails Hospital & Spa would probably give you the chills.

Envisioned as a medical facility and international clinic for patients to experience peace rather than fear, Klyukin has conceived it for Tunisia Economic City, a planned beachfront urban project and mega-metropolis.

How about that for a game changer?
