Hyundai Veloster UK Pricing Announced

Call it a 1+2=3 coupe or a car with car with a strange door arrangement, but Hyundai has released pricing specifications for the all-new Veloster. The car will hit UK roads in February 2012 and will start at £17,995 on the road with an insurance group rating of 16E.
There’s only one engine option available at the moment, the 1.6-liter naturally aspirated unit with gasoline direct injection and 140 horsepower. It will be available with the option of a six-speed manual gearbox or Hyundai’s first dual-clutch transmission. The Blue Drive version, which retails for £18,345, has Stop & Go technology and low rolling resistance tires, which add up to impressive CO2 emissions of 137g/km and a combined fuel economy of 47.9 mpg.

“The new Veloster will bring added emotional appeal to the Hyundai brand. It showcases a sleek and distinctive design in an
innovative three-door coupe form that provides practicality, and individuality as well as dynamic performance. It offers a bold new colour palette and with the choice of bigger wheels with colour inserts, panoramic sunroof and the option of red leather interior on the higher Sport trim level, customers can stand out from the crowd. We expect the Veloster’s unique combination to re-shape its segment and attract new buyers to the brand,”
said Tony Whitehorn, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK.

Standard features on the car include 17” alloy wheels, a 7” Touch screen media centre (with capability of playing games through consoles and films from smart phones), Bluetooth Connectivity with voice recognition, climate control air conditioning, reversing sensors, front and rear fog lights and striking LED daytime running lights.
