Nowadays, when a petrol engine comes with a turbo, it either powers a go-fast car, like it was back in the day, or it is an example of downsizing. Well, the Hyundai Veloster Turbo is a little bit of both world, as it aims to offer a bit of performance, balanced with efficiency.
That’s all good, but how much will you have to pay for it? The answer is set to arrive on Wednesday, when Hyundai will officially announce the price tag of the vehicle. Inside Line recently wrote that the Turbo badge will only add $1,600 to the starting price of a naturally-aspirated model’s price tag, which would’ve meant that the car was offered for less than $20,000.

However, Hyundai came to deny that: the $1,600 is the amount of money that the carmaker pays for the turbo and furthermore, the Veloster Turbo also comes with the standard model’s Style Package, so the actual pricing of the car should start at $22,000. Oh, and if you want to have yours in matte grey (you can see how this looks above), you’ll have to pay an extra $500.
