Together with the 5-seater Santa Fe Sport, Hyundai has also launched a brand new 2013 Santa Fe LWB, with more leg room, a bigger cabin and an extra pair of seats in the back. This family SUV will be available at the beginning of next year with a powerful V6 engine only. Yes, the top-of-line LWB Santa Fe is powered by the highly acclaimed 3.3-liter V6 engine, which is also found in the Hyundai Azera.
The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe LWB measures 192 inches (4,905 mm) in length, 66.5 inches in height (1,690 mm) and 74 inches (1,885 mm) in width, while riding on a 110.2 inches (2,800 mm) long wheelbase.
This 3.3-liter V6 with gasoline direct injection is good for 290 horsepower. Santa Fe’s V6 is perfect for towing small boats or weekend toys. We’d go for the smaller Sport, but it’s hard to ignore this engine’s merits. Only available with a six-speed automatic gearbox, the LWB Santa Fe will do 26 mpg highway on the US test cycle (Hyundai estimate) and 19 mpg city.
