Jaguar did it with David Beckham and now Hyundai does it too, the company announcing that Iker Casillas and Ricardo Kaka will be brand ambassadors for 2014 Fifa World Cup Brazil.
The automobile company is more than thrilled about the whole thing, Mr. Tak Uk Im, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai Motor Company saying they are very excited to announce “these legendary football stars as [their] World Cup Ambassadors.” He also went on to say that “through Casillas and Kaká, we hope to share the passion and excitement of the tournament with every corner of the world.”

It seems that Hyundai’s plan is to further showcase the company’s commitment to the world’s most popular sport, and what better way to do that than to name two amazing football players as brand ambassadors. Their role consists of building relationships between Hyundai Motor and football enthusiasts through numerous marketing activities during 2014. Such activities include print advertisements, television, digital marketing programs as well as on-site events.

Hyundai has great faith in the two sportsmen as Casillas, currently goalkeeper with Real Madrid C.F, is considered one of football’s greatest keepers. In the same manner, Kaka, midfielder with A.C. Milan, is an incredible talented player that was awarded the ‘FIFA World Player of the Year’ and the ‘Ballon d'Or’ in 2007.
