Curiously, the French market will get only two engine options for the ix35, both of them diesel. According to carsuk.net, other markets, including the United Kingdom, could get some petrol configurations as well, but more information is expected to be released in the upcoming days.
The two aforementioned diesel powertrains develop 136 and 184 horsepower, with the latter exclusively available on the top-of-the-line iX35-2.0 CRDi 184 4WD with Premium Pack, as the source notes. Pricing for this particular version is 33,990 Euros and includes most of the features available across the range.
The cheapest ix35 in France is the iX35-2.0 CRDi 136 Climate Pack priced at 26,990 Euros, which comprises features such as power windows and mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, MP3 player with USB support, ESP and hill start/descent. The Comfort Pack version adds 17-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors, dual-zone climate control and Bluetooth.
Hyundai ix35 was officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show last September and deliveries are likely to begin anytime soon. According to figures released at Frankfurt, there will be two gasoline units, a 2.0-liter producing 163 horsepower and 197 Nm of torque plus the Gamma 1.6-liter GDI that produces 140 horsepower and 167 Nm of torque.
The engines are mated to a 6-speed manual unit as standard, while a 6-speed automatic unit with Shiftronic is offered as optional.
