The idea behind the craziest toughness test ever undertaken by a Korean carmaker ever is that if the new i30 can resist being tortured by 40 baboon, than it can stand up to everything you and your little monkeys (we mean children) can throw at it.
Apparently, the cheeky safari park baboons have an affinity for wipers and number plates, but the ones on the i30 were left intact. However, they do poke and prod everything from the antenna to the interior mirror. We’re mostly surprise at how well the leather stands up to biting.
To do this test, park staff left the i30 family car in the baboon enclosure with the doors opened. The monkey realized that they would finally get to play with human ‘toys’ and jumped for joy... literally!
To pay back the monkeys for their... work, Hyundai donated some money to a charity that which dedicates it work to conservation and captive care of new and old world monkeys, gibbons and apes.
