The Chinese automobile market is in for a surprise as it seems that the Hyundai HB20 will be launched there in the near future, sometime in 2015.
The subcompact hatchback vehicle is already available in Brazil, drivers having the possibility to choose between two engines. We’re talking about a a 75hp 1.0 3-cylinder engine from Kia Picanto and a 128hp 1.6 4-cylinder one. From a design point of view, this particular Hyundai model features quite an appealing look.

The cabin is rather spacious and comes with a number of useful gadgets and features that are destined to offer a relaxing driving experience. Moreover, the Brazil-only marketed vehicle is available with both manual and automatic transmission.

So, since some spy shots showed the HB20 testing in China, it is more than certain that it will make its way onto their market and we won’t be talking about it being available only in Brazil. Thus, the Hyundai HB20 will be manufactured by the Hyundai/Beijing joint venture and could possibly offer Chinese drivers the same choice of engines as the Brazilian model.

This certainly is interesting as the said vehicle was especially designed for the Brazilian market. So, we’re wondering if it will be getting anything new once it will become available in China. It seems we’ll just have to wait and see.
