Hurst Competition Dodge Challenger

After we made our fill this past few weeks with tuned Camaros and Mustangs it's time to take a peak at another American muscle: Dodge Challenger. Hurst Competition has just released its new SRT8 Competition/Plus package for the Challenger and we must say, it looks like it's  worth every cent of the $18,495 (vehicle not included) charged for it.

Hurst version of the Challenger will be available for both the R/T 5.7 Hemi and the 6.1 SRT8 Hemi versions of the Challenger. The most striking feature of the package is the choice of colors offered, both on the outside and on the inside: red, blue, white and silver for the exterior and Hurst leather for the interior.

The Competition/Plus Challenger will also come with a traditional white, Hurst round-ball shift knob, with an extra black shift knob conveniently
placed in the glove compartment, for you to change when you get tired of the existing one.

Additionally, the package includes forged aluminum wheels, with graphite gray spokes and the traditional red and black Hurst “H” logos. The wheels are shoed in BF Goodrich KDW performance tires. At the back, the Challenger got Magnaflow stainless-steel exhaust, while technical highlights include a K&N Air Filter and an Eibach Suspension with coil-over adjustable shocks, springs and sway bar.

The Competition/Plus is the newest series to expand the availability of Hurst cars through our authorized dealer network,” Nate Shelton, Hurst Performance chairman said in a release. “The Hurst Competition/Plus shifter is easily the most successful shifter in the history of racing and automotive performance. We’re proud to name our new series of limited edition vehicles after Hurst’s most famous product.
