People who have come into contact with the GT 86 say that it hasn’t been designed to take a turbo in the future. Oh please! Where there’s a will, there’s a way of life, and it’s called drifting.
You don’t buy a car like this just to drive to and from work. You buy it because you want to hoon about town like your in stole it, or like you’ve been reborn as your favorite drifting champion.

But if you haven’t got the skill to do it like the pros, there’s a solution. For the launch of the car in Phuket, Thailand, Toyota brought along a race-prepped drift car with no interior and plenty of engine mods.

With a pro behind the wheel, they gave the people who attended the event their own chance to experience the lunacy. See what happens in the video below!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
