The Toyota Touch 2 infotainment system comes with a bunch of preinstalled apps which you can use after connecting your smartphone to the system.
One of them is the Toyota Real Time Traffic which will keep you informed about traffic conditions along your route, providing detours or shortcuts according to the situation.
After your phone is paired and you have internet, go into the navigation menu and select “Enter destination.” Complete the fields and click “Calculate Route”.
Then go back to the main menu and select “Traffic messages.” In the new window select “Settings” and turn on the “Traffic information over internet” feature. Now if you go back to the navigation screen, you’ll get info about accidents or traffic jams.
