If you feel that your Toyota VVTi engine revs to much but the vehicle is not accelerating as it should, this means that your clutch is slipping and it will be a good idea to change it.
This procedure is quite difficult and you will definitely need a car elevator and a professional tool set. Here are some tips:

First of all, you need to elevate the vehicle and locate the gearbox, as the clutch assembly is sandwiched between the engine and the transmission case.

Unfortunately, the video bellow doesn’t show how to access the clutch, but this can be done by removing the gearbox itself. Which is probably the hardest part of the job. Of course, if you have a big hydraulic jack, you can just uncouple it from the engine and slide it a bit and hold it with the jack to access the clutch.

After you’ve reached the clutch assembly, you’ll need to remove all the bolts that are holding the pressure plate attached to the flywheel. After that, gently take away the pressure plate and watch out for the clutch plate itself not to fall on you because now it’s loose.

Check the video bellow for more info.
