Ubisoft's The Crew Motorfest is arriving hot and heavy in just a few days, so let's see if you're ready to play something besides Forza Horizon 5. There's nothing wrong with FH 5, but it's been unrivaled on the market for an extremely long time. A bit of competition goes a long way for the end user or customer.
First and foremost, don't forget that you can play The Crew Motorfest for free as a trial version for five hours between September 14-17. The best part about this being a trial and not a demo is that a demo is a separate slice of the game.

In contrast, a trial is the entire game, just under a timed lock and key. In other words, you keep your progress in the latter case if you ever decide to unlock the full version of the game.

This brings us to our neck of the V8 woods, how to play it for cheap after the 5-hour trial between September 14-17. The game costs $70 for the Standard version, $100 for the Gold Edition with 3-day Early Access and Year 1 Pass, and $120 for the Ultimate Edition, the MacDaddy of them all.

That being said, you don't have to pay that much for the full version of the game. Ubisoft+ on PC is a monthly subscription that costs $15, where you can access all of Ubisoft's catalog, past, present, and future. Meaning even Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (2024).

It's the same on Xbox, but it's priced at 18 bucks. Sadly, while you have Ubisoft Classics on PlayStation, it's not the same thing, so I'm afraid you'll have to purchase one of the versions at full price.

I'm excited for The Crew Motorfest, having played the Beta a while ago. I found the overall package to be well-polished. I wasn't expecting the game to be in such an excellent condition, but that only added to my immersion.

My preferred ride style is the F1-looking ones because they handle the best. You'll see what I mean in the first 30 minutes of the game during the no-nonsense presentation. The old timers are like giant boats on the road, which is ironic because you actually have boats in the game, not to mention planes and motorcycles.

The street rides were nice but not as snappy as the F1 cars. Still, the supercars, like the Lamborghini Revuelto, shine brighter than Rihanna's diamonds.

Thanks to the improved game engine, the graphics look fantastic on a 4K screen with everything turned up to 11. Hawaii really was a great choice, with all the lush vegetation. But one of the most essential features of this game is the ability to import your The Crew 2 vehicles when you first start the game with no headaches.
