So, you want more decibels from you Lexus and so much bass that it will tore apart you lungs? Don’t know why would you do that if you got a Mark Levinson sound system, but here’s a video tutorial on how to install a subwoofer on a 2006 Lexus GS 300.
The uploader used his car for the tutorial, but he’s telling that it should work on any other Lexus, even on other cars as well because the principle is pretty much standard.

Basically, you’ll need an amplifier, a subwoofer, cables and the other fuses and output converters that will come with the purchased kit, if you don’t want to create your sub from scratch. Also, you will need a basic toolbox an a small drill.

Since the subwoofer and the amplifier will be located in the trunk, the hardest part is to provide them with power from the battery up front. That means running a cable throughout the whole length of the car. So you will have to make a hole in the firewall’s grommet and run the cable through the sills of the vehicle.

You can also make a kill switch button placed on the remote wire, which should be connected to a fuse, but for the in-depth tutorial check the video bellow.
