The newest BMW's can now be equipped with an optional feature called Dynamic Digital Cluster. If your car is fitted with this device, your instrument cluster will change the way it looks, depending on how you're driving.
Most BMWs are now using 5 driving modes: ECO PRO+, ECO PRO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+. Depending on which mode you choose, the display will change accordingly, from a cooled blue with various displays showing you just how much energy you're saving, to a powerful red color displaying the top speed and rev counter.
However, some drivers might find these changes irritable and would like to have just a standard instrument cluster with the same old color scheme. In case you want to deactivate this system, here's what you do:
Go into the Settings menu, using your iDrive controller. Then go into the Info Display tab and uncheck the Driving Mode View option. That's it!
