Even though a fifth variant of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class family of models is yet to be confirmed, numerous recent reports can't stop talking about a three-pointed star competitor for the Audi A5 Sportback and the BMW 3 Series GT/4 Series Gran Coupe that will be based on the recently-launched C-Class architecture.
Until recently, we thought that we were the only media outlet still hoping that the fifth model (after the sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible) will be a four-door coupe like the CLS or its CLA baby brother, but it seems that we were wrong.
Dutch photoshop artist Remco Meulendijk apparently also had the same feelings and recently made a rendering of how a four-door coupe version of the C-Class W205 could look like.
Since Remco's rendering captures the same beautiful sloping roof and rear door design of the CLS and the CLA, we are pretty much convinced that we are looking at a winner here, so let's hope that Mercedes-Benz will not go the hunchback route of the 3 Series GT and keep their distinct coupe design for the production car, which may or may not appear in a couple of years from now.
