As you may remember, a couple of weeks ago, we brought you the story of a house standing in the middle of a multi-lane highway in China. The owner had refused to accept compensation for the house because it was too low, and so, the road was built around it.
We now have an update on that report, and that house has fallen. The owner has accepted compensation in the amount of 260,000 Chinese yuan ($41,000), which is quite low considering the building has five levels.

The family moved out and buldozers came in, tearing down the building swiftly. According to India Times, the house belonged to duck farmer Luo Baogen and his wife. The highway was built to connect the city of Wenling in Zhejiang province to a newly built railway station on the outskirts.
