Honda Gives Away 2010 Insight at Music Festivals

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. announced yesterday its eco-partnership with C3 for both the Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits music festivals.

Honda’s support in Chicago, Illinois and Austin,Texas will include integrated ‘green’ activities, hybrid-vehicle displays, and a giveaway of a brand new 2010 Insight Hybrid car at each event.

The Insight LX standard features include front, front-side and side-curtain airbags, an anti-lock braking system, continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT); Eco Assist; automatic climate control and tilt and telescope steering column.

For the EX version, Honda brought in addition alloy wheels, cruise control and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Honda’s Insight hybrid has an Eco Assist system in order to help drivers achieve improved real-world fuel economy from the 4 cylinder engine with intelligent variable valve timing. It can travel 400 miles (643 km) by using only 10.6 gallons of fuel (40 liters).

The Lollapalooza music festival is scheduled between August 7-9 in Chicago, while the Austin City Limits takes place between October 2-4, in Austin. Both festivals are known for bringing together great musical acts and promoting environmental awareness, so they've matched with Honda’s interest in arts and environmental support as well.

"Many Honda customers are passionate about music and they care deeply about the environment," said Tom Peyton, senior manager of Honda national advertising.

"As an Eco-partner at these great music festivals, Honda can help make being 'green' entertaining and fun."
