Based on these particular sensations, American Honda developed the "Dream the Impossible" documentary series with the help of director Derek Cianfrance.
The videos feature unscripted short films starring Honda associates sharing their personal experiences of pursuing impossible dreams.
Honda Australia’s Managing Director and CEO Mr. Yasuhide Mizuno, believes that "Dream the Impossible" is the perfect way to tell the story of Honda through new media.
“This campaign enables us to bring the Honda story to life and give people a better understanding of where we have come from and where we are headed. The impossible can be realised through determination, creativity and hard work – a philosophy that every Honda associate lives by,” Mr. Mizuno said.
Three documentaries have been released so far, available for the public on the dedicated web site http://dreams.honda.com and also linked to a host of social networking sites including Facebook, Delicious and Digg. Moreover, American Honda uploaded the "Dream the Impossible" series on its YouTube channel and will continue to add other films throughout the campaign.
The first documentary, "Kick out the Ladder", is focused on the idea of being challenged to achieve the impossible through stories from Honda associates.
“Failure: The Secret To Success” is also based on personal experiences of Honda associates and affiliates including IndyCar driver Danica Patrick and shows the importance of never being afraid to try something new.
“Mobility 2088” raises questions about how people will get around in 80 years, featuring comments by a collection of academics, scientists, sci-fi writers and artists including film director Christopher Guest.
