Honda Brings the Montesa Brand to the UK

Honda announces that it's introducing its Montesa trial motorcycle brand to the UK market and that these are to be distributed in the country by Pidcock Motorcycles, which has been a Honda dealer since 1997.

The move marks the official debut of the Montesa brand in the UK and will offer customers the opportunity to receive complete manufacturer support for their bikes.

Honda (UK) is very happy to have become the official distributor in the UK for the Montesa brand and to now offer Honda’s complete range of motorcycles under one banner. Chris and the Pidcock’s team now have a business that encompasses the full range of Honda two-wheel machines and he couldn’t be better placed, either in location or experience, passion and knowledge about trials, to serve the UK market,” said Honda UK Motorcycles’ General Manager, Steve Martindal.

It’s a great opportunity and privilege to be appointed as the sole Montesa dealer for the UK and I’m excited to have the opportunity to bring Honda back into the trials world, which is where I started my motorcycling career forty years ago. Just like off-roading, trials is another great way to introduce newcomers to bikes and I’m looking forward to getting to know Montesa’s current loyal customers, as well as introducing new customers to these fantastic machines and trials generally,” said Chris Pidcock, owner of Pidcock Motorcycles.

The Montesa trial bikes are famous for their durability and performance, being the racing bikes of choice for indoor and outdoor Motorcycle Trials Champion Toni Bou. The Montesa range includes three models: a stripped down racer available for 6,295 pounds, the standard 4RT, retailing for 6,495 pounds and the exclusive Toni Bou Repsol paint scheme replica, which is priced at 6,995 pounds.
