It’s not easy being a boy racer these days. Most manufacturers make amazing cars capable of destroying your tuned Evo in a matter of seconds, without even breaking a sweat.
Furthermore, when you need them to be docile, quiet and comfortable, their second nature kicks in and you get a completely different ride at the push of a button. That’s the magic of today’s technology.
One particularly great example is BMW’s M Performance sub-brand, easily recognizable within the range by the ‘M’ that stands in front of the numbers stuck on the boot lid. We had the chance to test almost all of them, the list including the M135i, M235i and X5 M50d.
The last one is apparently causing Hitler some headaches. Well, figuratively speaking, at least. In a new video that popped up on Youtube last night, the Führer is seen ranting about the performance of this high-performance SUV, in his typical way.
Not only is the X5 both comfortable and fast, it’s also a diesel with a more than satisfactory fuel consumption. With a 3-liter tri-turbo diesel engine under the bonnet, making 381 HP and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque, the 2-ton monster will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds, apparently faster than Hitler’s tuned Evo that almost drove him deaf.
Since Adolf’s favorite car was a Mercedes-Benz G4 back in the day, it’s even harder for him to accept that BMW now rules the diesel SUV segment... Well, tough luck!
