Meet the H700 Supercharged C8 Corvette Stingray. It is a 708-horsepower wild machinery bearing the Hennessey touch, which makes it more powerful than the Corvette Z06 itself.
America's favorite sports car is taking the open-air driving experience to a whole new level. The C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible now gets extra oomph, upgraded performance figures, and a new name: the Hennessey Supercharged H700 C8 Corvette Stingray Convertible. That is the tag that it gets along over 200 horsepower more.

When the car rolls off the production line with the mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine, it has 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. But we all know that there is more to the C8 Corvette than that.

“We've unleashed the power that Chevrolet left on the table,” says John Hennessey, founder and CEO of the tuning house. There aren't many cars in the segment that can offer that kind of performance for that kind of money.

The naturally aspirated 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 of the Z06 sends 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet to the tarmac. Now, Hennessey had done it without involving any engine swap. The 6.2-liter V8 was more than enough for the extra oomph.

America's premier mid-engine sports car received a belt-drive blower to reach 708 horsepower (718 metric horsepower) and 638 pound-feet (865 Newton meters) of torque. The Texas-based firm installed a high-performance supercharger, which was engineered to fit in the HTC's compact engine bay. An air induction system with an air-to-water intercooler and an enhanced cat-back exhaust system are also part of the upgrade.

The team also reworked the transmission to be able to handle that extra output and torque. Customers can also go for an active-valve exhaust.

Hennessey also recalibrated the engine software to achieve the 44 percent increase in output and 37 percent increase in torque over the factory figures.

The car now rides on forged 19-inch alloy wheels. The Lightweight Street Wheels in gloss black, matte gunmetal, or satin silver finish are optional. The modded Corvette wears a Hennessey C8 Heritage Livery, available in Blue, White, Black, Silver, or Red, while the H700 badging and serial numbered plaque are included.

Hennessey has yet to unveil the new performance figures of the modded C8 Corvette Stingray. When stock, the sports car runs from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 2.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 194 mph (312 kph).

The upgrade can be performed on all Chevrolet C8 Corvette models manufactured between 2020 and 2024. The H700 package is covered by a three-year or 36,000-mile limited warranty and is available from authorized Corvette retailers or from Hennessey. The stock Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible starts at $76,995. Last year, when Hennessey unveiled the H700 package for the coupe, it could be purchased for $34,950. Most likely, it is the same for the drop-top version.
