We've been covering custom motorcycles for a long time here on autoevolution, constantly tracking the dealings of a large number of custom shops and bringing to light their most exciting products. And we've noticed something very peculiar about this industry: it doesn't seem at all interested in promoting its products.
With just a few exceptions, global custom bike makers don't go overboard in trying to advertise their builds. The approach manifests itself first and foremost through these shops' quasi-absence from the information space.

Then, if you do somehow manage to stumble upon one of their builds and like it, good luck trying to learn more about what was done to bikes. Details of parts removed or added, the build process itself, and the price of many custom bikes are often absent, meaning we're often times left drooling but not completely satisfied.

They exactly the case of the Dark Coffee that brought us here today. We know about it's the work of a huge German garage known as No Limit Custom (NLC), a true powerhouse in this industry. We know the bike was originally a Breakout. And we also know about some of the parts that were used to put it together: front and rear fenders, engine spoiler, and some covers – pieces that together cost a total of just $1,700.

And now look at the bike in the attached gallery. The machine wears a lot more modifications than that, and it clearly looks a lot more expensive. We see custom wheels, custom exhaust, and a special paint job. All of them are elements that first draw people's eyes, then their money. And they'd draw even more, had some minimal details about them were provided.

But they're not, so for the remainder of the day, if you truly like this modified Breakout, the Dark Coffee will probably keep you up and guessing. About what parts were fitted and where they come from, about the build process, and of course the price, all of which remain a mystery.

We can give you an idea of how much the bike might be worth though by telling you that a base Breakout of the new generation (the one with the 117 engine in its frame) can be had for prices starting at $20,999.

We also know that, usually, conversions such as the Dark Coffee add about as much on the top of the base bike, putting the total cost of the build at $40,000 or thereabouts.

There, we decided to tell you this to help with the amount of guessing you'll have to do once you see this bike. Of course, you could eliminate it completely if you plan on having something similar made, as NLC will definitely spell out all the secrets of the build for a potential customer.
