We continue the series of Harley-Davidson previews with another 2014 model, the Sportster Superlow.
If we were to sum up the first visual impressions on the 2014 Superlow, things like "ageless classic" or "historic simplicity with a modern touch" would most likely be first on the list. And that's because the 2014 Superlow boasts on the design approved by so many generations of riders who appreciated and loved it.
With an exclusive solo seat and mid-mounted foot controls, the new Superlow brings an upright riding position which will surely appeal riders of medium stature, even if really tall motorcyclist will most likely be installing some forward controls and highway pegs.
The 883cc Evolution engine receives fuel through an electronic injection system mated to the iconic oval intake for classic styling, and offering a more precise throttle response. The brakes have been upgraded throughout the series, from 292 to 300mm and new calipers, while the wiring loom ad routing were simplified and better integrated into the build for a cleaner, tidier look.
Sportster Superlow also comes with the H-D Smart Security key fob for more peace of mind. Another handy feature is the gear indicator, present in the black tacho enclosure and using the LCD screen for multiple other readouts.
