We brought you live photos from the Essen Motor Show this year and all the world premieres that were presented at this tuning venue. Amongst them you might’ve noticed the Hamann M4 as well that came prepared with a lot of grunt a new look.
Now, the guys also published a new commercial of their car and it’s looking absolutely great. For the first time in recent years we can actually say that we like what they did with it, unlike the Mi5Sion and Mir6rr concepts for the M5 and M6 models that were unveiled last year.

For the M4 the aero bits were a lot less flashy than expected, basically being limited to a new splitter up front, a new rear diffuser for the tailpipes and a new bonnet that now has an air scoop and a bulge dressed in a completely different color that matches the CFRP on the roof.

You thought we forgot about the wing at the back, right? Well we didn’t but we left it last on purpose because it’s the one detail that we’re not absolutely sold on for now. However, looking at what other tuners did (including AC Schnitzer and Manhart) we’re guessing it was rather necessary as well, not just put up there to look good.

In the tech department, the engineers from Hamann managed to squeeze 517 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque out of the 3-liter biturbo inline 6-cylinder engine under the bonnet. That’s a drastic increase over the stock 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque the engine used to make. Keep in mind that this is a 3-liter unit after all and it gets even more impressive.

Other changes include a new suspension, a new exhaust system and BMW’s own Carbon Ceramic Brakes to keep things in check. You can watch the entire commercial, below.
