If you were thinking to buy yourself a 2010 Roush Mustang Stage 3 for Valentine's Day or whatever other occasion sometimes in the near future, think again. Roush announced yesterday that the 103 units of the in-house bred Mustangs have been sold out. Or nearly...
"The ROUSH dealer base has officially ordered all 103 units and that they are selling quickly off the dealer lots," the builder says. "If you are interested in owning one of these 540 horsepower 'Stangs now would be a good time to contact your dealer as they are moving as fast off the lots as they do on the street."
We reckon "the good time to contact your dealer" has already passed, as real Mustang fans must have reacted when hearing the news. Still, if you have some $59,945 left after the holidays, take a shot at it.
Who knows, maybe you'll end up owning a 540 hp troop, coming from Ford's 4.6l engine, tweaked by Roush and fitted with forged aluminum pistons with an increased dish, forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft.
"The ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang has traditionally been among the halo vehicles of our lineup and I’m really proud that it sits atop the pecking order once again,” Jack Roush, company's head said back in September, when the Stage 3 was unveiled. “This new iteration of the Stage 3 represents our highest horsepower and most sophisticated ROUSH Mustang yet, and is sure to resonate among our fans.”
