We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: living close to the Nurburgring must be a dream for a car guy. Being able to wake up in the morning and go for a ride on the world’s most famous circuit is something all petrolheads probably dream of.
Driving on it gets you in contact with all sorts of people as well and you get to see the newest sport cars at work, even before they are officially launched, if you’re lucky. One such lucky man is a Bimmerpost member that was going for a drive one day with his Corvette C6 Z06 and stumbled upon a BMW M4.

The car was wearing UK plates and was right-hand drive, brought there by BMW themselves to be tested by an UK-based magazine. That is what we like to call luck. Of course, since our guy here was and still is a member of Bimmerpost, even though he changed brands in the meantime, he immediately started asking questions.

As it turns out, this was the driver’s first time on the Nurburgring and he was pretty excited about doing his first lap inside the BMW M4. Right next to him was an experienced co-pilot though. You didn’t think BMW would let just any rookie drive their car on the Green Hell alone, now did you?

Our guy decided to hop inside his car and follow them around, to see just how the M4 looks like on the Nurburgring. We’d have to say that it looked rather good but we couldn’t hear anything due to his own V8 engine.

Now, if the two were to compete against each other, things would be pretty close, considering there’s no newbie behind the wheel of the M4, of course.

The C06 Z06 Corvette uses a 7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine making 505 HP and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque and is the lightest model in its generation, weighing just 1,442 kg (3,180 lbs). 100 km/h (62 mph) comes up in just 3.9 seconds.

The M4, on the other hand, uses a 3-liter biturbo 6-cylinder engine making 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. It’s also a bit heavier at 1,485 kg (3,273 lbs) but it seems to have more grip and be more agile on the track. It could be very close. What do you think?
