In August last year, General Motors issued a recall for the GMT360 SUVs (Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X) belonging to the 2005-2007 model years. The cmapaign also included 2006 2006 GMT370 SUVs (Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL). Now the carmaker is expanding the call back action, with an extra 230,000 cars being affected.
The new batch of cars includes the 2006 GMT370 SUVs (Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL), with 193,000 of the cars being found in the US.
We’ll remind you that the driver’s door module can short out and cause a fire. According to GM, the problem is linked to 58 fires and 11 injuries, while the expanded campaign saw the company received complaints for six fires and one injury.
GM dealers will place a protective coating over the module or replace them altogether.
