BMW and Mercedes-Benz probably have more new models coming out every year than any other automaker. This video focuses on the upcoming mid-life facelift for the GLC Coupe.
Contrary to popular belief, the GLC is not based on the same SUV platform as the GLE, but on a car-like architecture derived from the C-Class. As such, its mid-life updates will very closely mirror those of the W205 family, which Mercedes is already looking to replace with the W206.

We figure this is the last prototype of 2018, and WalkoArt agrees with us. Of course, there could be something going on in Scandinavia right now, but those guys seriously need a vacation away from the cold.

Even though Mercedes has several times more models than Tesla, they don't dominate the American sales charts in the same way. Still, the GLC Coupe competes in a pretty cool little niche it shares with the BMW X4, that of the smaller Sports Activity Coupe.

In Europe, it desperately needs new engines to keep up with the Bavarian counterpart. And through 2018, we've seen GLC prototypes developing their entry-level guns, including the 2-liter turbo that will go into the 194 HP GLC 220 d or the gasoline units for the 184 HP GLC 200 or the 299 HP GLC 300, which is what we have here.

It's going to be a big family of four-cylinder units, though there should be a few six-cylinder ones. Mercedes is undoubtedly going to offer the GLC 43 Coupe with over 400 horsepower from a tweaked V6 while updating the 350 d diesel. Everything will be hooked up to the latest 9-speed automatic. Sorry, no power bumps for the 63 AMG model!

Unfortunately, the GLC is not MBUX-compatible. Instead, you're going to get the same HD screen as in the C-Class, plus a new digital dashboard.
