Get a Glimpse of the 2016 Cadillac CT6 Flagship’s Interior and Bose Sound System

In a rather interesting twist, while we’re patiently waiting for Cadillac to take the veils off its new CT6 flagship model a rendering went online, showing us a glimpse into what the interior of this car will probably look like. It was all by accident apparently and it seems like there are more than a couple things to be sorted out first before seeing the car in the flesh.
Expected to be shown in the metal for the first time at the New York Auto Show next week, the CT6 is poised to take on the likes of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Lexus LS, the new Jaguar XJ and the upcoming BMW 7 Series. From these sketches, it seems highly unlikely to be up to the task but nothing’s for sure right now.

The rendering came from Bose, the company that takes care of the audio side of things. In it we get to see how the 34 speakers of the ultimate sound system in the CT6 are used to create a perfect harmony. According to the audio specialists, their Panaray system “reproduces music with more clarity, precision, and deep bass than any other system preceding it". Let’s hope that’s true...

To be honest, the layout of the 34 speakers does seem impressive, none of them apparently being bigger than 4 inches (100 mm) in diameter. That’s a good sign on one hand. On the other, they do add up to a couple pounds and extra weight is never a good thing on a car.

Looking at the interior, we can also say that the seats (especially those in the back) don’t seem as comfy as the ones inside an S-Class. On top of that, they also don’t seem to offer a great deal of legroom if we’re to believe the measurements in the photo are correct.

In the meantime, the engineers and marketing people are setting up the final touches on the CT6. Ready or not it seems like the New York Auto Show will  feature the flagship and we’re dying to see how it turns out.
