Bentley cuts an undulating, curvaceous line right in between luxury and performance. It's a hard line to follow, and most of its cars fall on one side or the other, except for this one, which is our firm favorite. That really is the shortest way to describe why the GT V8 S is the perfect Bentley. For the long way, keep reading this article!
Just like the regular GT V8, this car is equipped with a fantastic new 4.0-liter V8 engine with twin turbocharging. But the S has 21 more British horses of power for a grand total of 521 bhp (389 kW) at 6,000 rpm and increases its torque 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) at 1,700 rpm.

This bigger numbers enables the coupe to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standing start in 4.5 seconds and a top of 192 mph (309 km/h). There's also a coupe version that needs slightly more, 4.7 seconds.

Aside from the power boost, the S version comes with a 10mm lowered ride height, new dampers settings and a sportier stability control system. Trim changes have also been made, with black used for the grille and one set of headlights.

So now that we've convinced you the GT V8 S is the coolest Bentley ever, how do you tell it apart from lesser B's? For starters, the 21-inch wheels with black windows and red centers are unique, while the brakes behind them are the largest carbon ceramics ever fitted to a production car.

"The Bentley Continental is the definitive grand tourer. Its effortless performance, generous space, handcrafted luxury and all-wheel drive capability take you on a journey in refined style and comfort. Now, for those customers who want even more drama and excitement, the sharper, sporting edge of the new GT V8 S adds a new dimension to the Continental range,” said Wolfgang Schreiber, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors.
