Gemballa, the tuning company that doesn’t want to leave any factory-build stone untouched, has taken the newest Porsche models to the max. At the recent 2011 Top Marques Monaco Show, which started yesterday and runs until April 17th, the Porsche tuning specialist brought down a pair of stunners. Let’s see what the German-based tuner has dreamed up for the Panamera.
The Mistrale, as it is called, features a heavily modified body with unique front and rear ends, and an array of bespoke aero parts. The tuner says that the new body not only looks different but also provides a significant weight reduction.
“Rather than cutting into the steel panels and bonding on new parts, as is common in the aftermarket industry, we completely replace entire panels with bespoke carbon-fibre ones that use the original mounting points,” explained Andreas Schwarz, CEO of Gemballa.
The Panamera is now barely recognizable and looks like some sort of futuristic army limousine half-breed with its matt paint. The sheetmetal changes on the outside are complemented by a set of newly styled 22-inch alloy wheels, which are said to have the same weight as the original 20-inch rims from Porsche.
“Design, cutting edge technology and the finest materials are the most important ingredients in the transformation of these fine cars into something really unique,” Gemballa boasts.
In order to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, German company decided to limit production of the Mistrale to just 30 units this year. However, we fear they might have overdone it a bit here, as they have come up with something so sinister it will scare little children and send dogs into a frenzy.
