Galactics Hit the Road in Audi Cars

We’ve seen the commitment that German manufacturer Audi has with the world of sports, especially with big soccer clubs. Bayern Munchen and FC Barcelona are just a few of the clubs that have already signed a partnership with the carmaker and the next football club to get Audi vehicles for the players and officials is Real Madrid.

Recently, the Galactics received their new rides, with the Audi Q7, Audi A5 Cabrio and Audi RS 6 among the highest ranked models.

Led by Christoph Metzelder, Xavi Alonso and Kaka, the squad completed a driving safety training program on snow, including a slalom course and maneuvering drive with the Audi A5 coupe and TTS, at the Xanadu Snow Park, 18,000-square meter ski hall on the outskirts of Madrid.

The competition between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is therefore not limited only at the national football championship or the UEFA Champions League. Just like FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thierry Henry, nine of the Galactics, including Xavi Alonso, Guti, Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy, opted for the 3-liter TDI Audi Q7 model.

National team captain Iker Casillas and the German Christoph Metzelder went for the Q5 fitted with the same engine, while the former Bundesliga star Rafael van der Vaart chose an A3 Sportback. Furthermore. Royston Drenthe and Karim Benzema picked the Audi A5 convertible, while the latest addition to the team’s lineup, Christiano Ronaldo, selected the 580 hp Audi RS 6.

Other renowned football clubs that have a close partnership with the German carmaker are AC Milan (Italy), Manchester United (UK), AS Monaco (France), Ajax Amsterdam (Holland) and Red Bull Salzburg (Austria).
