Cheap Car Chip Performance Monitor

Today's cars provide a large amount of information concerning the vehicle, including current speed, fuel level and engine temperature. All these details are usually transmitted to the driver through the ECU and displayed on screens usually mounted on the dashboard. However, the amount of information is quite limited in the case of low-cost or older cars which do not feature last-gen on-board computers.

The Car Chip Pro Engine Performance Monitor lends a helping hand to all these cars, providing a huge range of details, starting with fuel consumption and engine performance and ending with acceleration and braking reports.

The device is extremely easy to use because all you have to do in order to get information from your car is to plug it into the OBDII port of your car (unfortunately, some cars do not provide such a connector, thus it's impossible to use the device). All you need to do next is to start driving and let the Car Chip do its job.

When you stop the engine, disconnect the gadget and connect it to your laptop/computer using the integrated USB port (note that it only works with Windows 98SE, ME, NT4.0, NT2000, XP and Vista so it may prove quite difficult to get it work on a Linux or Mac system).

One of the most important features of Car Chip Pro Engine Performance Monitor is that it automatically creates a log file in case of accident, providing information about the car with approximately 20 seconds before the impact.

The price of the product is quite accessible, the whole package being sold for 120 bucks. Beside the main device, the package also includes a software CD for transferring gathered data to your computer and an USB cable.
