There is something really magic about the DIY projects, and the motorcycle-related ones are even more glorious. We couldn't tell exactly why, but maybe it's the fact that the fun of riding is combined with the sense of fulfillment... until it all comes crashing down.
Now, here's a nice video of a Russian trike builder, fitting what could easily pass as a chainsaw engine in a tricycle frame. Watching the initial wheelie, we thought that this guy has the same weight distribution issues as Ducati's MotoGP bikes, and he has to sort things out.
However, the ending of the video brings a clear "back to the drawing board" signal, as the rider crashes in a way funnier than we though possible, completely unaware of the width of the trike and hitting an anchor cable.
We though we would flip because of a wheelie gone wrong, but it looks like his creative genius surprised us once more. Now it's rebuilding this awesome machine and maybe finding a better test rider. To drink or not to drink, this is the question..
