We like simulators and we like Toyotas, especially its oldschool models so this freeware off road simulator kept us procrastinating a couple of hours or so.
Although it won't match the graphic and physics in the upcoming Spin Tires simulator, Rigs of Rods compensates by being free, having lots of vehicles (including boats and airplanes) and a nice damage system to complete the advanced simulation engine.
As within the title, the game lets you tackle some rough terrain in two Toyota FJ40 models, both having modified suspension and huge off road tires, working almost like in real life.
Go ahead and download it here on the official webpage and make sure you donate something to the guys behind this project if you enjoy it. It would be a shame if this simulator will be buried under the thick veil of low budget indie games. Who knows, maybe some day it will be the Minecraft equivalent for gearheads.
