Free Akrapovic Exhaust for British Yamaha Buyers

Most sportbike owners get to the point when they would like their ride to feel and sound like they were on the race track. Now, British riders have the opportunity to get a pair of carbon sleeved Akrapovic cans worth over £1000, but for free.

Well, wait until you hear it all. The offer is only valid for a limited period, through participating Yamaha dealers and only applies to customers who purchase a new Yamaha YZF-R1 through those dealers.

“Last year, the R1 collected so many accolades - MCN’s machine of the year, World and British Superbike championships and many group test wins across Europe. It’s a machine that makes all riders feel great and provides them with a level of confidence and control other superbikes can only dream of,” a company statement reads.

Furthermore, Yamaha’s British division also offers a low rate finance or PCP and the opportunity to test ride the supersport machine.

The R1 is the world’s first production motorcycle with a crossplane crankshaft, which was originally pioneered in MotoGP racing with the M1. For 2010, the new YZF-R1 got twin projector beam headlights concentrated near newly placed forced air intake ducts.

The bodywork features inner and outer shells controlling airflow around the bike at high speeds and forcing more cool air to the radiator and engine bay therefore eliminating the need for hot-air vents usually located at the sides of the radiator. The bike is available in Raven Black, Pearl White and Team Yamaha Blue/White.
