Frankfurt Auto Show: Hamman Ferrari California

The German tuners at Hamman have brought a few of their own contraptions to this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show, including their interpretation of the Ferrari California. The guys over at Hamman not only changed the car’s design, but upgraded the engine by up to 20 percent as well.

Just as we said, the visual appearance is what strikes the most, consisting in a number of design elements including a bonnet made of carbon fiber, and in an aerodynamic package as well.

The body kit features a new front spoiler, an unobtrusive side skirt, a back spoiler, a small wing profile and a three-part rear diffuser. The tuners also offer an extensive program for the inside enhancements, ranging from personalized floor mats to a perfectly finished complete leather interior.

Now moving on to what usually catches the customers’ attention, the performances have also been modified. The 4.3-liter V8 engine that outputs 460 horsepower in the production version can now develop nearly 550 horsepower.

Moreover, another highlight in the package is the multi-part Hamman aluminum wheel called EDITION RACE. Thanks to the black varnished rim star and the titanium bolting of the high-gloss polished rim flange, the tuners emphasized the car’s racing character.

The wheels are produced in forged technology, which makes them extremely light and improves both the acceleration and the braking response. The recommended wheel-tire combination measures 9.0Jx21 inches with 245/30ZR21 tires for the front, while 12.5Jx21 rims with wheels measuring 345/25ZR21 are fitted at the back.

Unfortunately, no pricing of the Hamman California have been yet released.
